Abstract:

This article aims reflect a certain state of the art in TUIs (or Tangible User Interfaces) domain, focusing on the handling and editing of media (e.g. video & sound streams, images, etc.). After a brief introduction to the field of TUIs, it basically provides a review and summary of three projects: mediaBlocks [19], logJam [3] and DataTiles [17]. Eventually, constructive critics as well as an evaluation of the projects will be formulated.
