The Editor Window

As said before, the window you should use for modeling your arithmetical networks13 is the Editor Window, which could as well be called: the definitions window. When starting AriNET, an Editor Window as well as the Transcript Window are opened automatically. To start coding your equations just type the commands in the text zone of the Editor's window. Whenever you want to evaluate your code use the menu bar: ${\it Simulation \to Eval Window}$, to execute the commands typed in the Editor Window. You can also use: ${\it Simulation \to Eval Selection}$ to evaluate the selected area only.

If your code was evaluated successfully, you should then be able to read the following message on the Transcript Window: DONE - Eval Window / Eval Selection. Otherwise the errors14 are going to be displayed on the Transcript Window as well.

Whereas the Transcript Window is unique, you can open as many Editors Windows as you feel like. This is done by using the menu bar item: ${\it File \to New}$.
